If you’re a rare disease patient, here’s one for you from Justine Evans, Web Content Manager at the European Organisation for Rare Diseases (EURORDIS):

The EURORDIS Photo and Video Contest 2011 is open until 30 April.

In its 5th year there are 4 categories for the Photo Contest:

  • My rare disease (focusing on treatment)
  • Portraits
  • Family
  • Out and about (daily life)

There is an open category for the Video Contest.

In order to maintain good quality, EURORDIS has suggested formats and dimensions as well as resolutions for the photos and videos.

For more information concerning entry requirements, prizes and how to submit your entry visit the EURORDIS website.

So calibrate your cameras and start taking pictures and filming!

I’ve just arrived in Paris for some meetings with the European Organisation of Rare Diseases (EURORDIS), so I’ll keep this blog very short. It’s a wonderfully sunny day and Paris is as beautiful as ever.

Here’s my message for today: if you’re a rare disease patient group, you’re based in Europe and you’re not already a member of EURORDIS, then become a member today.

They’re a fantastic organisation at the forefront of the rare disease movement. They exist for their members and will do everything they can to assist you.

Check out their website: http://www.eurordis.org.

Become a member here: http://www.eurordis.org/content/how-become-member.

Gotta go!
